Concrete Repair
Project Description
This case study outlines the successful delivery of specialist concrete repair works undertaken at St Joseph’s High School. The project focused on addressing deterioration within the building’s existing concrete stone features, ensuring both structural integrity and preservation of the original aesthetic.
The scope of works involved the careful removal of defective and degraded concrete stones, many of which had suffered from weathering and age-related damage. To maintain consistency with the existing façade, bespoke moulds were fabricated on-site, enabling the accurate casting of replacement concrete stones that matched the original profile, texture, and finish.
In addition to the replacement works, a programme of targeted structural repairs was carried out using helical fixings. These were installed to stabilise and secure existing stones, reinforcing the surrounding structure while minimising disruption to intact elements.
The project required a high level of precision and craftsmanship, combining traditional techniques with modern repair solutions. The outcome ensured the long-term durability of the structure while retaining the character and appearance of the original construction.
